You can now apply “Subsidy for businesses affected by the state of emergency”

“Subsidy for businesses affected by the state of emergency” is now available for you to apply.

This is for merchants that their business has been affected by the state of emergency along with the COVID-19 pandemic severity (one declared in Jan. 2021). That generally target restaurants and hotels but industries related to those can apply too. Examples are:

• Restaurants, pubs, izakayas and other catering
• Hotels, hostels, ryokans and more which offers accommodation
• Travel agencies, bus operators for tourists
• Food service which supplies to those restaurants and hotels
• Linen and sheets supplier to hotels
• more peripheral industries related to those above

Those should be classified as SME in Japanese laws. Appliers should go through a simple interview by registered inspector to confirm its feasibility of the application, then go for a formal application.
